Al created Crazy Al's Bone Productions right out school. He worked for several marketing firms working with Disney and Warner Brothers characters. However, in 1996, a friend commissioned Al to carve his first large Tikis based on his previous small images. His style of carving is conceptual and highly detailed. Al lists his artistic influences as Primitive Art, such as the Kachina dolls of his youth and a fascination with National Geographic type images. “Primitive man used art to speak to God or at least understand what God is. That's powerful stuff.” Crazy Al’s art has been in many art shows over the years; the first was a show by Tiki News at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Hollywood in 1996. The Tiki featured was from a palm tree that he dug up at his boyhood home in Arizona. It had a cow bone in its nose that Al found while hiking in Sedona. Starting in the early 2000’s, Al has been known to have his sculpture featured in the new wave of ‘Tiki Bars’ popping up across the U.S. from NY to HI. Al has done many spectacular mug designs both for himself and these other companies. Adding to his repertoire, Crazy Al takes his art to the stage as the frontman for the San Francisco based Exotica band APE. Al does Tiki carving on stage and provides lead vocals for the band. Al lives in Huntington Beach, CA

Tiki Tom-Tom (aka Tom Jaynes) is a writer, photographer, artist, sewist, singer, educator, wanderer, and full-time Polynesiac. His first visit to the Mai-Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show converted him to the Tiki life. You might think he’s a partygoer from the stories he tells, but he’s really a wallflower. Hailing from the Beaver State, Rich is one of the many folks who found there is a natural overlap between Tiki and Halloween. Rich’s previous home haunt ‘City of the “Dam”med’, was featured regionally and nationally on ABC, NBC and the front page of the Wall Street Journal. The main show was fully automated with custom built animatronics, lights, lasers, fog, pirate canons etc. all synchronized to music and video. The last version of the main show was a 12.5 minute Disney tribute featuring the Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates, Princess and the Frog and of course Haunted Mansion. At the West Coast Haunters Convention a few years ago "Birds Are Scary” was the phrase of the show. The neighboring vendors however still had that song stuck in their head a month later after hearing it every 15 minutes for 3 days straight.
